1. Scope
This statement applies to the public booking pages at booking.bokko.app: business pages, the appointment request flow and the guest pages related to a booking (viewing a booking, cancellation, responding to a reschedule proposal, deposit and card guarantee, waitlist, "My Data"). It does not cover the business dashboard or Bokko's information websites.
Bokko publishes this statement voluntarily so that guests can find out how usable the pages are.
2. Target level and conformance
Bokko aims for the public booking pages to conform to level AA of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1. Based on Bokko's own self-assessment, the pages are partially conformant with this level. No independent expert accessibility audit has been carried out; conformance should be understood in light of the known limitations listed in Section 4.
3. Measures applied
- pages carry language markup matching the displayed language and are available in 11 languages;
- pages are rendered server-side as semantic HTML, so the content is readable without JavaScript;
- controls have text or accessibility (ARIA) labels, and error messages are shown as text;
- a skip-to-content link helps navigation with a keyboard and screen reader;
- the pages respect the browser's reduced motion setting and support a dark appearance;
- the Google Maps map loads only on an explicit click, with a text location preview available instead;
- automated accessibility checks are used during development.
4. Known limitations
- Business content: images, descriptions and policies uploaded by businesses (for example image alternative text, clarity of texts) are the business's responsibility; Bokko cannot always ensure their accessibility.
- External interfaces: online payment takes place on the payment provider's (Stripe or Barion) own page, the map in Google Maps' embedded interface, and bot filtering through Google reCAPTCHA; their accessibility is outside Bokko's control.
- Complex controls: use of the date and time picker and some multi-step flow elements with a screen reader has not been checked with every browser and assistive technology combination.
- Email notifications: the accessibility of booking emails also depends on the email client.
If you cannot use a function on the pages, you can also request an appointment directly from the business using the contact details shown on its booking page.
5. Feedback and contact
If you encounter an accessibility problem, or would like to receive content in another format, write to support@bokko.app. Please include the page address and a short description of the problem. We will investigate your feedback and reply with the solution or the available alternative.
6. Preparation and review
This statement was prepared on September 14, 2026 based on Bokko's self-assessment. We review it at least once a year and whenever the booking pages change significantly.
